TBWCYL Day 364 - Update Time

Well, I finally broke down and went back to the Half Price Books where I left my copy of This Book Will Change Your Life and my copy wasn't there. What that means I have no idea. Someone may have bought it but if so they are holding it hostage and haven't called me. Just as likely they may have it and not even realize it, though it was pretty apparent it was completely filled out.

The thing I fear most is that it was found on the shelf and the employees decided to trash it because they thought a filled out copy wouldn't sell. With it being 40 days since departure I am going to assume that I will not get it back. This is a sad development. I was so hoping to keep it and gain a little faith in people all at the same time.

That is all,

Newt

Hello!

I just discovered your blog on a vanity search... and I have to say...

There can be only ONE "Newt" on blogger. Prepare to meet your end in some sort of elaborately-staged duel.

Possibly one with swords. I haven't decided, yet. But a sword duel would be pretty cool. Hm. Do you know if there are any abandoned steel foundries we could stage this little battle? Because I've always wanted to duel in a steel foundry. It's been a dream of mine ever since I saw Terminator 2.

Where was I? Oh, right. Prepare to meet your end, pseudo newt.

*insane cackle*

I have accepted your challenge via a comment on your blog. I say blog but I mean, "Pitiful attempt to live up to the Newt name."

Sir, I say, Sir... I propose... a "Blogoff".

Three posts over, say, two weeks. May the best three posts win the title of "Grand Poobah of all Newtbloggerdom".

And may the loser be perpetually referred to as "Steve".

Hmmmm, I accept your challenge but would like to know the rules? First and formost, I will not change my name but will be willing to add the moniker of Steve for a time. Who shall judge this contest of champions? Should topics be set that dictate the confines of the blogs? I feel this deserves promotion.

Hm. Sounds good - the moniker of "Steve" shall be added for a spell. (I wasn't going to change *my* name either!)

As for a judge... since I was the one who threw down the gauntlet, I believe you have the right to name the judge and the terms of the contest. But, oh yes, there will be promotion.
